In 2015, I had the fortune of meeting Giovanni Bartolomeo. At the time, he was working at Collective Evolution, and I was nearing the beginning of the crowdfunding campaign for my book Ayahuasca: An Executive’s Enlightenment.
I had reached out to Collective Evolution (CE)—an alternative media outlet—in hopes that we could collaborate on spreading awareness for my book. The founders, Joe and Mark, agreed to having a call. Giovanni, new to CE and having no prior knowledge of me or the context of the call, decided to join too.
A few minutes into the conversation, Giovanni asked, “what’s the name of your book?”
“Ayahuasca: An Executive’s Enlightenment,” I told him.
“Ha, wow. I’m creating a documentary about Ayahuasca and other psychedelics and I just told my friend yesterday that we need to find a corporate executive for the film.”
“That sounds like me.”
Now, nearly four years later, Psyched Out, the documentary Giovanni created, is freely available. It’s a beautiful film exploring the wonders of psychedelic medicines. You can enjoy it here:
